We're a small, friendly team with great dedication to our projects; most of us have worked together since Agigen was founded in 2009.
Our focus is on the technology of the web; by choice and tradition, we do not employ any in-house designers. A deep understanding and interest in the foundations of the web makes us the natural choice for developing complex web applications, as well as a great partner for design agencies with limited in-house developer resources. We love projects where everyone involved gets to do what they do best.
Does it really work? Of course! All of us at Agigen have a great deal of personal involvement in our projects, and we really do our best in order to make sure both the customer and ourselves are satisfied. Usually, we only do programming (since it's what we do best), but if the customer so desires, we can also take care of project management, design etc. via our partners.
We do not believe that there is one software environment to rule them all. At our disposal, we have a wide variety of modern tools suited for every common (and most uncommon or downright exotic) web-related development task. On the backend side, we mostly use Python, PHP (with Zend Framework) and Ruby on Rails, while on the frontend side it's HTML5, jQuery and CSS as far as the eye can see.
We do not believe in re-inventing the wheel either, which means we frequently integrate services such as Facebook, Flickr and Twitter in our applications. Simple web sites can many times be built on Wordpress, and if we get to decide, our applications are hosted in the cloud.
We're always looking for new talents, so if you feel things like Javascript, scalability, pixel-perfect designs or mobile apps are the kind of stuff you can dedicate your life to, you should know that we want you!
